I’ve taken a lot of chances in my career, making moves into new sectors and new roles, all with the goal of seeking opportunities that utilize and further develop my strengths. I began my career as a counselor and advisor for student organizations as part of a top tier university’s students affairs team. Wanting a change in pace, in 2012, I embarked on a career in software sales and consulting, and here is where my career has taken off. I’ve spent the last 9 years exceeding my target numbers (as a rule) as a sales professional and consultant and have successfully supported clients around the world, and of various sizes, to meet their goals.
While balancing a full-time career, I’ve earned my MBA, launched new communities to connect others, and have built networks including my most recent initiative - the Women’s Literary Collective. I’ve also lead non-profits to find purpose, structure, and direction, including university alumni organizations, corporate diversity & inclusion business resource groups, and sorority executive boards, sometimes with 10 or more team members. In these roles I’ve always successfully executed on outlined objectives.
Over the years, I’ve come to recognize that no matter your role or how large the business, profit or non-profit, we all struggle with achieving our vision.
